In January of 2024, Cycon Civil Group was awarded the lump sum contract to complete the bulk excavation & rail track civil works for the Dublin Road Level Crossing Removal (LXRP) project. This vital infrastructure project improves connectivity and safety for the Ringwood East community by eliminating the congested level crossing. Cycon Civil Group was awarded further scopes after mobilising to site due to excellent performance and client satisfaction.

KEY FEATURES OF THE DUBLIN ROAD LXRP INCLUDE:

• A rail under road solution, where the railway will be placed in a trench below Dublin Road to allow vehicles to travel over it.
• Bulk Trench Excavation: Excavation of 57,000 cubic meters of soil to create the new rail trench.
• New Track Installation: Laying of 1.2kms of new track as part of the rail under road solution.
• Ringwood East Station: A new station with modern accessibility features and 460 upgraded car parking spaces.

• Shotcreting including reinforced
• Track formation,including subgrade replacement
• Bulk earthworks for the car park
• Stormwater drainage installation

Cycon Civil Group successfully managed and coordinated all stages of the project, working closely with other subcontractors and the client to ensure seamless execution. All tasks were completed within scheduled occupations, exceeding expectations with works completed well within the required timeframes and with exceptional quality.
