The Franklin West Cross Yarra Partnership (CYP) works in Melbourne were part of the larger Metro Tunnel project, aimed at improving the city’s rail network. The Franklin West section involves the construction of a new underground station and associated infrastructure, enhancing connectivity for commuters. Key features include tunnelling works to facilitate the new rail lines, as well as upgrades to existing transport facilities.
The project is designed to alleviate congestion in the city’s CBD, increase capacity for future rail services, and provide better access for passengers. CYCON CIVIL GROUP SCOPE AS PART OF THE CYP METRO TUNNEL WORKS INCLUDES:

- 32m deep shaft excavation, moving 2400 BCM of material.
